Kathie has been blessed to be able to travel to several countries including Russia, Germany, South Africa, and Lesotho (a small county inside S. Africa). She has made two trips to Russia where she ministered to people in Red Square, children in an orphanage, & many other places. She was lead by gun point from a church for speaking the name of Jesus in Russian. As long as she sang in English she was left alone, but as soon as she started to sing in Russian, the police came in with their machine guns and escorted her from the church. She worshiped with a church in Lesotho who’s building is just steel, with no insulation and a dirt floor (pictured here). Kathie was able to bless the church with a donation toward putting in a floor from donations given to KHFMM for the Africa Mission Trip. She was treated like a big time rock star by a high school in Lesotho when she sang one of the blues songs from our Living by Words album. But in it all, it is the hunger for the Word of God that she has seen in the people, no matter what country she is in. |
